Mary-Kate Olsen at the MET gala
I love Mary-Kate Olsen has if she was a family member. Ok… I don’t know her personally but you get what I am trying to say… Anyhow, I love her style and I think whatever she wears just looks effortless. Here she is, in the photo above at the MET gala. I think she could have done better, but critics are really hating this The Row gown on her. I must admit that this is not the best of her, but somehow she pulls it off and makes it look somewhat good!
This is it. The end of the Met pictures. Now I have to catch up on Cannes! Whew…
Chelsea Clinton in Carolina Herrera: Chelsea looks very pretty in this fiery orange column with sparking earrings, but I feel like Tina Fey wore it better at one of the award ceremonies a few years ago. Grade: B
China Chow in Jean Paul Gaultier: I don’t know what this lady does, but she could make a career of wearing clothes if she always dresses like this! I don’t even know how to describe this dress aside from gorgeous, so I’ll just let you look. Grade: A-
Ivanka Trump in Peter Pilotto: This was a rare misstep from the Donald’s daughter. The hair looks a little too puffy, and velvet should be left to the masses seeing The Nutcracker at Christmas. The one good thing is the intricate cutouts at the bodice, though! Grade: B-
LaLa Anthony in Zac Posen: I dunno. Somehow, the dress looks cheap. Sometimes it happens with Zac’s dresses, and it may just be a bad photo, but it looks like one of those prom dresses for the girl who thinks she belongs at the Oscars. That being said, LaLa’s body is bangin’! Grade: B
Poppy Delevigne in Chanel: I actually really like this. This is Chanel done at it’s simple, pretty best. Everything really works about this look, and I’m surprised I’m liking this so much; Chanel and I usually aren’t friends. Grade: A-
Sunrise Coigney in Bottega Veneta: Mark Ruffalo’s wife looks hawt in a corseted black dress! This is what Halle Berry’s black mullet dress disaster from a few years ago should have been. Grade: B+
Wendy Murdoch in Vera Wang: No one does tulle like Vera Wang. The delicate sweeps along the skirt are a real work of art, and the orange color makes it all look like loops of freshly-spewed lava. Gosh, that sounded weird. Grade: B+
